Miami, FL, March 26, 2025: The American Welding Society (AWS) and Seabery Augmented Technology have unveiled their Fundamentals of Welding Curriculum, an innovative and interactive training program that combines AWS’s world-renowned curriculum with Seabery’s industry-leading augmented reality simulation technology. This partnership marks a new era in welding education, designed to address the growing demand globally for skilled welders and enhance their professional development.
“This collaboration underscores the continued efforts of both AWS and Seabery toward building a skilled workforce capable of meeting global challenges,” said Alicia Garcia, AWS Managing Director of Education & Training. “The Fundamentals of Welding Curriculum equips learners with both the theoretical knowledge and practical exposure needed to advance in their careers.”
Powered by Seabery’s patented Soldamatic simulator, the Fundamentals of Welding Curriculum integrates essential welding theory with hands-on practice, featuring 80 supplemental exercises and exclusive AWS-designed workpieces. The program offers an effective welding training approach with unlimited practice opportunities, real-time feedback and is cost-efficient by reducing the use of traditional welding consumables.
“Seabery’s Soldamatic technology has helped set a new standard for welding training,” said Pedro Marquinez, CEO of Seabery Augmented Technology. “By integrating AWS’s expertise, we’ve created a seamless, scalable solution for developing the welding professionals of the future.”
Offered in both English and Spanish, the Fundamentals of Welding Curriculum is currently available in Mexico and is set to expand across Latin America and Asia in 2025.
