AR welding training solution Soldamatic Augmented Training was shown at Daimler Mercedes’ event ‘Fit for Future: Daimler Human Talents Strategy Coping with the New Technological Era’, held in Fuzhou, China.
This event shows the commitment of Daimler Mercedes to embrace the best edtech solutions available to improve their working fleet and is always ready to drive improvement. For this reason, this event held demonstrations of new technologies to students, professors and employees, and seminars about educational trends.
Soldamatic was one of the solutions taking part in the event together with other products from technological companies such as Festo, Kuka and Stratasys.
All were able to show that the New Technological Era is already here, and that they are capable and willing to bring something new to the table.
Students, professors and training managers tried the Augmented Reality welding training solution and were fascinated by the Augmented Training methodology. Students found it as “a fun way to enhance their learning process”, while professors were willing to include this technology and the Augmented Training methodology in their programs”.
The first turn-key welding solution powered with AR was also showed to experienced welders, who recognised it as “a realistic solution similar to real welding and a great way of reducing consumable costs and risks while developing welders with better skills”.
