The Gauteng Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) in South Africa has opted for Augmented Reality welding training solution Soldamatic and the Augmented Training Methodology to train new welders.
The acquisition of Soldamatic welding simulators allows the learning centre to train more welders at the same time and to give them a better skillset before they move on to the real workshop. Thanks to Augmented Reality, the cost of training new welders has been considerably reduced, and the risks have diminished to zero.
This learning centre accommodates approximately 1,000 trainees annually and offers different training programs including welding, spray painting, mechatronics and autotronics.
