DESCRIPTION
It is a training curriculum designed by the American Welding Society (AWS) for educational welding programs (technical colleges, vocational institutes, training schools). It is aligned with the AWS SENSE program (an educational standard for welding training) and contains specific processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, thermal cutting, and inspection.
Target
- Provide a solid foundation in welding theory: principles, processes, equipment, safety, joint design, symbols, etc. - Facilitate guided practice through the laboratory manual so students can apply what they have learned. - Prepare students for welding certifications through knowledge aligned with AWS standards.
Format
It includes the textbook “Welding Fundamentals” plus the “Laboratory Manual” with more than 70 welding exercises and 15 questionnaires.
