A WPS may seem confusing and difficult to understand for new welders, but it is one of the most relevant documents in the welding field and that is why they are an important part of welding training. How should it be written?\u00a0 The best way to do it is using an example of a real WPS and following these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Basic Information:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All the basic information about the welding procedure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name of the company and person who developed it<\/li>\n<li>Specification number and date<\/li>\n<li>Most WPS will be backed on a PQR (Procedure Qualification Record), you should refer to it in order to make it easy to trace the document back.<\/li>\n<li>Number and date of the last revision<\/li>\n<li>Welding processes and type<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4398 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/seaberyat.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Captura1b-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"734\" height=\"93\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Joints:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Details of the <a href=\"https:\/\/seaberyat.com\/de\/welding-joints-types\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">joint design<\/a>, including root spacing and backing (if the joint needs it and the backing material).
