Welding students from Finland and Spain win the Soldamatic Cup 2024

The 2024 edition of the Soldamatic Cup was held on April 15th and 16th, with participants from Saimaa Vocational College Sampo (Finland) and CIP Virgen del Camino-Navarra (Spain).

The competition put the students from both schools to the test, testing their welding knowledge and skills using the Soldamatic of their respective schools. The competition consisted of two exercises, created especially for the competition thanks to Soldamatic E-Learning:
-A T-Joint exercise of intermediate difficulty in GMAW process.
-A Lap-Joint exercise of high difficulty, in GMAW process, and without any guidance from the simulator.

The students were separated into two categories, one for first-year students and the other for second-year students. A student from CIP Virgen del Camino-Navarra was proclaimed champion of the first-year category, while a student from Saimaa Vocational College Sampo was proclaimed champion of the second-year category.

From Seabery we want to thank both centers for their collaboration in this Soldamatic Cup, and the students for their commitment.

The Soldamatic Cup will return in 2025, with a wider and more extended format, in which students of different nationalities will compete for the title of Soldamatic Cup champion.
